All versions of the multi-function flat
panel display unit require an AHRS/Air Data computer to display
primary flight data, and/or a GPS to display GPS related data, and/or
an EIS Model 4000/6000/9000 to display engine data. These items are
not included, and must be purchased separately unless otherwise
indicated.

wind, and GPS related navigation functions require a connection to an
external GPS (not included). A cost-effective and superior alternative
to traditional instrumentation.

The low-cost way to add flat panel
technology to your airplane. This display unit provides only the
primary flight display, OR the graphical engine display, OR the moving
map. An excellent way to add one of the three main functions to your
airplane, at minimum cost. For example, the EFIS Series I Engine
Display unit provides the ideal way to add graphical engine monitoring
when used the EIS Model 4000/6000/9000 (EIS not included). Flexible
upgrade options allow you to add additional functions for $250 each,
without removing the instrument from the airplane.

The new
EFIS Series I Dedicated Display gives you graphical engine data, in full
color, using a sun-light readable display. This display is connected to
the serial output from the EIS Model 4000/6000 to provide analog
and digital displays of all EIS engine data. In
addition, this screen adds concentric displays of fuel flow and
percent power to give a visual indication of
engine efficiency, a basic indicator of engine health. The EFIS
Series I Dedicated Display also includes an EGT time history graph.
This graph reveals the source engine problems, even those lasting only
brief moments. The EGT tracking and leaning functions that have
distinguished the EIS, are also included in the Horizon EFIS. |
