Full size Aluminum Vents for our  "XL" Modular Panel Kit or "Pre-Drilled" Subpanel Kit.  (Available Black or Clear anodized finish)

($245.00 for the Pair )

Our clear vents are all aluminum eyeball and aluminum flange.

Our black anodize vents are aluminum eyeball and plastic flange.  Our decision to make the black flanges from plastic is two fold:  First, it avoids metal to metal contact and preserves the anodize.  Second, it allows builders using Van's panel to install the vents as recommended by Van, which requires one to sides of the flanges to be rounded off, without exposing the clear aluminum.

We have been recommending that our filler pieces be used to mount the intercom jacks.  However, some of our customers have wanted the jacks to be located behind the seats to minimize dangling wires in the cockpit.  For those customers we are now offering Precut Filler Pieces to mount the Hobbs meter or the ELT Remote Head.

The photos below show how the ELT head and Hobbs meter can be mounted from the front or back to meet the builder's desire.

Available only for the Slider and Tip-Up RV-7/9 "Standard" Panels.

This option, similar to Van's pre-punched panel, includes a laser cut six-pack of 3-1/8" holes for Flight Instruments, as well as a six-pack of 2-1/4" holes vertically arranged.  All of the flight instruments are equally spaced.  This layout requires that all switches and breakers be mounted in a sub-panel below.  For those who do not want a sub-panel below, our blank panel offers any layout possibility imaginable.

(Adds $25.00 to cost of Panel Kit)

OPTION "A"

Offers a laser cut Mapbox cut-out.  Saves about 2 to 3 hours of cutting and filing to get those perfect edges. The dimensions of the cut-out are an exact match to Van's Mapbox kit, and we have located the cut-out in the location recommended by Van's for the Slider Canopies.

(Adds $10.00 to cost of Panel Kit)

OPTION "B"

Same as Option "A" , but with the addition of a three (3) pack of 2-1/4 holes, vertically located.  The height of the instrument stack is identical to our left panel option.

(Adds $20.00 to cost of Panel Kit)

This option is specifically geared toward builders planning on installing a Grand Rapids Technologies EIS monitor.  It offers a laser cut-out, which allows the instrument to be mounted from behind.

We think the EIS monitor is the best value for the money, and we are installing one of them on our own RV-9A.  However, The EIS lacks the level of sophistication of some of the much more expensive monitors out there, so we thought we would offer a Center Panel option that would give it a facelift.  The opening will allow the screen and buttons of the instrument to show through, giving the impression of a much smaller instrument while, at the same time, giving it a custom look.

We believe builders will love this option.  However, it reduces the amount of height available for radios.  So we want to advise builders to have a pretty good idea on what radios they will be installing prior to ordering this option.

(Adds $9.00 to cost of Panel Kit)

Most builders have enjoyed the looks and functionality of our Sub-Panel and Vent Plates option, but were disappointed that we only offered the vent plates pre-drilled to match Van's plastic ventilators.  We are now offering blank vent plates for those builders installing any other type of ventilator.
