We are offering
two distinct variations of the panels, which are similar to our
Slider Panel for the RV-7/9. However, specifically designed with
the 6 builder in mind.
The panels come
in a "Standard" style, as well as the "XL".
At builder's
option, the Standard panel can be used with or without our
custom Sub-panel and Air Vents. The XL is lower to
allow more room for those builders with an extensive avionics
stack. The XL incorporates built-in vent openings to
accommodate Van's plastic ventilators.
For both
panels, the frame and plates are match drilled along the bottom
and center stack to ensure a perfect alignment. However,
the top of the panel plates and frame is provided without the
screw holes. This feature, unique to the 6 panels, allows
builders, whom are replacing their current panels, to
contour the frame to fit their existing installation.
Builders fitting the panel for the first time, can simply match
drill the plates and frame together right from the start.
Also, the Modular Frame will be 0.75 inches in width, allowing
any contouring to take place without running out of edge
material.
